Volunteering
A volunteer is someone who serves in a community or for the benefit of natural environment primarily because they choose to do so. By definition, a volunteer worker does not get paid or receive compensation for services rendered. Serving community makes ones own life better. The benefits people get from being with other people, staying active, and above all having a sense of the value of ourselves in society that may not be as clear in other areas of life.

Bakers - Volunteer to make Home Made baked goods
The Volunteer Center of Racine County periodically needs homemade baked goods and sweet treats for events or functions.

Board Member
Are you an outgoing person who enjoys a challenge. The Volunteer Center of Racine County is looking add new members. The members are involved in community activities, develop fund raising activities and work with local business and organizations. Meetings are held once a month.

Sales Associate
Volunteer to sell bakery and other items during our special event fund raisers held occasionally throughout the year. Special event bake sales are held at Educator's Credit Union, and other locations throughout Racine County.

Read and Remember Presenter
Must enjoy talking before a group of elderly adults. Must be able to lead reminiscences based on presentation topics. Please share your time,
2-4 hours per month or more if desired with those who can no longer read or enjoy sharing time with a reader.

Office Assistant/ Clerical duties
Assist with typing, filing, data entry via computer. Miscellaneous clerical duties as needed. Word Excel and Publisher experience a plus.

Receptionist/Assistant - The Volunteer Center of Racine
Greet and assist walk-in guest in a friendly and professional manner. Guest will be looking for volunteer opportunities. Would direct them to proper staff person and/or provide literature. Gather information from callers to enable the transfer of the call to the appropriate staff. Time required Monday though Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Hours and days to work are very flexible.

Intergenerational Fair Participant
We are looking for people to share their interesting hobby, craft or talent. If you enjoy woodworking, painting, pottery making, stained glass, collecting things or anything that would enlighten a child: Please consider sharing your experiences with children at the local Inter generational fairs held in our local elementary schools. Usually a all day event that occurs during the year.

Communication Assistant
The Volunteer Center, from time to time has need for volunteers that are familiar with Microsoft Publisher. This would be an on call opportunity to assist with a variety of communication projects.
