Local Ham Radio Groups
The Racine Megacycle Club
Founded in 1927, the Megacycle Club is an organization of Radio Amateurs in South-Eastern Wisconsin. The group is a fraternal organization and sponsors the area hidden transmitter (fox) hunts and operates the W9UDU station.
The Lakeshore Repeater Association
The Lakeshore Repeater Association, KR9RK is a non-profit 501c3 organization that maintains and run two area communications repeaters.
The Racine County Amateur Radio Emergency Service
The local branch of the national ARES. RCARES sponsors the EMCOMM group which meets weekly at the Volunteer Center of Racine County. The group spnsors the emergency communications trailer and operates the station WI9RAC.
Racine Amateur Television Society
The Racine Amateur Television Society (RATS) is a group of Ham Radio operators transmitting television signals. The group works in Slowscan (SSTV), Fast Scan (FSTV), and digital television modes.
The Volunteer Center of Racine County
Among its many activities, The Volunteer Center of Racine County (VCRC) operates the WI9VCR station and works closely with RCARES and the Racine Megacycle Club.
Gateway Technical College Amateur Radio Club
The club station at Gateway Technical College, they operate the N9GTC station.
