RACINE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

Sheriff Robert D. Carlson has recently announced a free gun lock program available to Racine County residents. Project ChildSafe and the department will give out free safety kits to prevent firearm-related accidents. The kits include a cable-style gun lock and a safety brochure. To obtain a kit, bring a Wisconsin ID or Wisconsin driver's license to the Racine County Sheriff's Patrol Station, 14116 Washington Ave., Yorkville; or the Racine Police Department Community Oriented Police office in Regency Mall, 5538 Durand Ave. Call 636-3213.
