| looking for information on a big band from racine in the 40's. my mom sang with, i think the band was called les beck anyone have any idea's |

I believe the name of the band was "The Les Beck Orchestra".
I don't have much to tell you . The Les Beck Orchestra was indeed around during World War II in the 1940s.
I believe that Frank Bencriscutto became a member of that band sometime around 1941 playing the alto saxophone at around the age of 13.
Frank Bencriscutto performed in the Rose Garden of the White House in the former Soviet Union, PRC, Japan and has many published works. He has won many awards. There is a mention of him in the German Wikipedia, but not in the English Wikipedia. |
