4th of July Parade
Racine's Fourth of July parade is the Midwest's largest attacting over 100,000 people. The parade can take more than three hours to pass a spectator at any given point. Pre-parade begins at 8:30A and is followed by the parade at 9:00A
4th of July Fireworks Display
Racine has a fantastic fireworks display on July 4th. Fireworks begin at dusk over the lake at North Pier. The fireworks are viewable all along Racine's Lakefront. Some excellent viewing areas include North Beach, Zoo Beach, Knapp Park, Gaslight Pointe, Festival Park, Harbor Park. The fireworks are viewable as far away as Schoop Park or Roosevelt Park.
Animal Crackers Jazz Series
The annual jazz series is held about five times throughout the summer on the grounds of the Racine Zoological Gardens.
Salmon-A-Rama
During the Middle of July, Salmon-A-Rama is fishing tournament for fishermen. The popular fresh water fishing tournament on Lake Maichigan. The annual summer festival that accompanies the contest will not return this summer, however the fishing contest will continue
Classic Car Show
Held in the middle of August From old to new/mild to wild - this car and motorcycle show is one of the best attended in southeast Wisconsin. Food, fun and classics for all to enjoy and admire.
Great Lakes Brew Fest
Held in September at Festival Hall, Great beer from the Great Lakes! Proceeds benefit the Kilties and Drum Bugle Corps of Racine.
Great Midwest Dragon Boat Festival
Teams of 20 people will paddle beautifully decorated dragon boats for great prizes. Free to spectators. Enjoy food, drink and the lakefront.
Greek Fest
Ethnic festival featuring Greek music, roasted lamb and chicken, Gyros, shish kabobs, honey puffs and pastries. Dancing, church tours, carnival rides and fun for the whole family. Held at Kimissis Greek Orthodox Church.
Ironman 70.3 Racine
Formerly known as the Spirit of Racine Triathlon, the Ironman 70.3 Racine is held in the end of July. The triathlon features a field of exceptional competitors from throughout the nation and beyond competing in a 1.2 mile (2 km) swim, 56 mile (90 km) bike ride and a 13.1 mile (21 km) run. The triathlon serves as an official qualifier for Ironman World Championship 70.3
Italian Fest
Held at the end of July, Italian Fest offers food and top-quality family entertainment.
Kiwanis Annual Pancake Day
Held in the beginning of May, All you can eat Pancakes all day.
Kiwanis Holiday Lights
The Kiwanis holiday lights illuminate the Racine Zoological Gardens each year from November through December.
The Lighthouse Run
Held in June the run offers your choice of a 4 mile (6.4 km), or 10 mile (16 km) competitive run or the Modine Fun Run/Walk (Choice of 2 mile (3.2 km) or 4 mile (6.4 km)). We strongly suggest only trained, physically fit persons attempt the 10-mile competitive run. USATF certified course!
Octoberfest
The Sixth Street Historic District invites you to come and enjoy the flavors of several beers along with some great food and fun entertainment.
Party On The Pavement
In Early October, Party On The Pavement is Down Town Racine's All-day street festival in downtown Racine featuring food, refreshments, live entertainment, special events and more.
Racine County Fair
Annually at the end of July. Youth and Adult exhibits- from Animal to art, photography, woodworking , midway, commercial vendors, food, entertainment daily tractor truck, Garden Tractor, pedal pulls, music fun for all ages.
Racine Kennel Club Dog Show
Held in August, the show is one of the area's largest all-breed dog shows and obedience trials, held on the shore of Lake Michigan. The show is an excellent opportunity to learn more about dogs and dog training.
Sand Castles
Sand sculpting, live entertainment, children's activities and demonstrations held several times throughout the summer at Samuel Meyers Beach
Tour of Historic Places
Every September, the Tour of Historic Places consists of narrated tours of architecturally and historically significant homes. Attendees receive a guide book with the history of each building.
Western Days
The Annual Western Days is a three day event held in the middle of July in the West Racine shopping District (2700-3000 Washington Avenue) and consists of Sidewalk Sales, Entertainment, Root beer tasting contests and a parade.
Zoovies
Held several times throughout the summer, Zoovies features popular family movies in an outdoor setting at the Racine Zoological Gardens.
