This summer, Downtown Racine will celebrate the 5th anniversary of Music on the Monument. Music on the Monument is a FREE summer concert series which entertains Downtown workers, residents and visitors during extended lunch breaks on Fridays.

First Fridays is a free, fun, monthly event that is a great way to experience all that Downtown Racine has to offer in the evening. On the first Friday of each month from April thru September more than 40 Downtown shops, restaurants and galleries offer music, refreshments, prizes and of course, shopping from 5-9 p.m. Guests are entertained both in the stores and on the streets.

The Racine/Kenosha American Radio Relay League [ARRL] Volunteer Examiner [VE] team will conduct examinations for Federal Communications Commission [FCC] Amateur Radio Licenses. All applicants will need to furnish photo identification (two forms of ID are required). Cost of the examination is $14.00. The exam takes time to complete, be sure to arrive with time to take the exam before the session is over. Cost of the examination is $14.00. For more info: (262) 637-6588.

USA Triathlon Sanctioned Racine Women's Only Triathlon - The swim takes place along Lake Michigan's pristine lakefront, followed by a bike ride on the Bike Course in the scenic countryside of Racine County and finishes with a run on the Run Course through Racine's quaint, historic neighborhoods.

With its scenic course, spirited people, this is an exciting triathlon for first timers and seasoned veteran competitors.

Party on the Pavement is held the first Saturday of October, this yearly street celebration has become one of Racine's largest festivals. Main and Sixth Streets in Downtown Racine are closed to vehicular traffic and are filled with fall festivities. The day promises fun for the entire family with activities, special events and musical entertainment for people of all ages.
