On the first Friday of each month from April thru September more than 40 Downtown shops, restaurants and galleries offer music, refreshments, prizes and of course, shopping from 5-9 p.m. Guests are entertained both in the stores and on the streets.

The Racine/Kenosha American Radio Relay League [ARRL] Volunteer Examiner [VE] team will conduct examinations for Federal Communications Commission [FCC] Amateur Radio Licenses. All applicants will need to furnish photo identification (two forms of ID are required). Cost of the examination is $14.00. With its scenic course, spirited people and a competitive field fighting for a share of the $25,000 HALF prize purse, this is an exciting triathlon for first timers and seasoned veteran competitors. This year's HALF field is limited to 1,700 participants.
