The DeKoven Center
The DeKoven Center is a full-service retreat and conference center located on a 20 acre wooded campus on the shores of Lake Michigan between Milwaukee and Chicago. In our second century of continuing education, spiritual reflection and the cultural arts, DeKoven welcomes individuals and groups looking for a place apart for meetings, workshops, seminars, or for rest and solitude. We also sponsor a wide range of retreats and quiet days, led by nationally known writers and speakers. The facility is also available for weddings.
All buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places. Famous persons associated with DeKoven Center include Mary Todd Lincoln, Ralph Waldo Emerson, General Billy Mitchell, General Mark Clark, and Dr. DeKoven, himself an orator and reflective writer.
