Pioneers dressed in period clothing plow, cook, and discuss their lives on 10 working immigrant farms, in an Ethnic Crossroads Village and an African-American Pioneer Area. The 576-acre museum in the Kettle Moraine State Forest, 12 miles north of Elkhorn, also features heirloom gardens, historic breeds of farm animals and the Aldo Leopold Environmental History Trail.
